Under Pressure: How Capture Studios Delivered 81 Images in a Week for Erbauer
- 33 products captured
- 81 images produced across multiple formats
- 9-day turnaround from brief to delivery
- 4 days of intensive retouching
- 1 successful campaign
The Challenge
Erbauer isn’t just any brand; it’s the go-to for people who value reliability over fluff, trusted by pros and DIY enthusiasts alike at B&Q and Screwfix. So when Kingfisher threw us a curveball on July 17th, an urgent request for killer images for a last-minute 15% off promotion on Erbauer’s Pro-quality tools, we knew we were in for a wild ride.
With the launch date set for August 23rd, we had just 9 days to pull this off.
The hurdles?
- Time Crunch: 9 days to nail down over 33 products.
- Image Overload: Each product needed shots from every angle imaginable, landscape, portrait, square, you name it, we shot it.
- Sample Shenanigans: Some products showed up late and incomplete, which meant our team had to play shopper on the day of the shoot.
Our Approach
When the final shot list landed in our inbox on July 22nd, we sprang into action. With July 31st looming, our mission was clear: get Erbauer's rugged charm into every frame while keeping it speedy and stylish.
- Pre-Shoot Planning: We whipped up a detailed shot schedule mapping out every angle to match Erbauer's no-nonsense vibe.
- Photography: With 33 products to shoot, we turned our bespoke set-build space into a photography playground. Our team hustled to ensure every image screamed“quality” while hitting the required formats.
- Range Shots: 33 products in landscape, cropped to square, 33 products in portrait, 10 products in landscape, cropped to square and portrait, 5 products in landscape, cropped to square and portrait
- Post-Production: The edit was a bit of a beast, with each product needing meticulous masking. But our team dove in for four 4, applying the Erbauer brand grading like pros.
The Results
Despite the ticking clock and all the curveballs, we delivered the goods on time and to Kingfisher’s sky-high standards. The final images hit the shelves at B&Q, showcasing Erbauer’s power tools in all their glory, proof that when the going gets tough, Capture Studios gets creative.
